Carson's Heartbeat

I recorded a little something at my last doctor's appointment. The image is a 21 week ultrasound picture and the heartbeat is at 31 weeks. Enjoy!

Rock Climbing Adventures

I think I'm slowly getting to my final days of getting out and up in to the mountains before little man arrives. But I'm not quite there yet so this past weekend Reid was invited to go rock climbing with some friends and I tagged along as the photographer. Our weekend also included some overnight camping and thankfully I survived and got a pretty good nights rest even.

On our way home from the trip, we stopped at an outlet mall to get Reid some new work clothes. The store we went in had a kids section and I couldn't help myself from going to look. There I found the cutest thing for Carson that could not be passed up. He's now all ready for his first adventure in the water!

Where Has The Time Gone...

Yesterday I got my weekly pregnancy updates and this one said I was 30 weeks pregnant?!? I can't believe it's been 30 weeks already. Maybe it's just the weeks now starting with a 3 making it seem so crazy but I can't believe there is only 9 more weeks to go.

In other news I finally bought a mirror to admire my fastly growing belly. Better late than never right! The next couple weeks are going to be filled with a hospital tour and baby classes and it will all end with a baby shower in Kansas. I'm so excited to go back to see family and friends.

A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That

Yesterday was a busy day for Reid and I. I started my day at the doctor's for a 3 hour glucose test. 4 blood draws later, I left with sore/bruised arms and I'm just hoping for good news. Next on our busy day we met with the pastor of our new church at a coffee shop. He wanted to take the time to get to know us and see how he can help us with fitting in. I think we made a great decision in our choice of church to attend.

Now on to the fun stuff! Reid and I tried another attempt at Ikea to get some things for Carson's room. While the store is still overwhelming, we managed to miss the crowds and found exactly what we needed....a new rug and lamp!

We love the rug and it looks great in the room with all the other stuff we have so far. The lamp puts out a soft light that will be perfect for late night hangouts! Only a few more things and we'll only be missing a baby to complete the nursery. After Ikea we went to pick out Reid's new office! I was able to meet some of his co-workers and I think he picked a good firm to work at. He is very excited to start on Monday!

Denver seems to be turning into Kansas these days as it was 50/60s earlier this week and now we are suppose to get a snowstorm tomorrow only to be followed by 60s again next week. If it's going to snow, I wish it would happen during the week so we can still go out to play in the mountains. I'll leave you with a picture of Snyder who decided he wanted to test my nerves today on our lunch walk. I usually let him run up and down the creek while I walk the trail and today he decided to do a little digging.

Celebrate Good Times...

Yesterday we went out to celebrate my birthday since last weekend Denver decided to have a snowstorm. We went hiking in Evergreen, CO on the Lower Mitchell Falls Trail. After our hike we went out to Beau Jo's for pizza! We have heard about this place since we moved here and were happy to finally be able to go try it. They are known for their "mountain style" thick crust that you drizzle with honey for a pizza/dessert pizza combo. I have to say it lived up to the hype and was very delicious.

While this weekend was to be about finally getting my birthday celebration in, we are also silently celebrating Reid's successful week job searching. He received two official offers and one unofficial offer that should be coming next week. We are so excited the job search is OVER!! Congrats Reido and we will do an offical celebration with the first paycheck!
March seems to be shaping up to be pretty busy and exciting for us. I'm sure it will help pass the time until baby is born. We have a few "meet and greet" things with our new church to attend, an overnight climbing/hiking trip with some of Reid's mountain buddies, a couple baby classes to take and we will end it all with a baby shower back in Kansas.

I'll leave you with a picture Reid took of me this morning because I thought I looked "cute" today! Since I work from home, I'm usually lounging around in scrub clothes with no makeup and my hair a mess, so I made Reid capture a rare cute moment.
