Counting Down The Days...

It is very hard to believe that there are only 5 days left until my due date!! All I'm hoping for is Carson to not be late, but he also seems to be taking his sweet time in my belly. I hope he's not too comfortable in there.

We made some changes to his nursery last weekend due to a new chair we got. I imagine we'll be spending lots of quality time in this chair loving on and feeding Carson. I can't wait! Reid's weekend project is a side table to go next to the chair for a lamp and drink/snack holder for me.

Reid suggessted I start taking last minute pictures since Carson could be here anyday. I have started getting comments from random people when I take Snyder out. Most of them are along the lines of, "that baby is going to walk right out of you."

Do I even look pregnant?
No doubt about it here!

Carson is a big boy already and the doctor estimated he might weigh in the upper 7lb range (and that was 4 days ago). My nights have become uncomfortable and I'm lucky to get more than 2hrs sleep at one time. If I don't workout right when I wake up, there's no way I'll be thinking about a workout later in the day as my belly feels gigantic and I'm very achy. My final thoughts for you Carson are that I think you've grown enough and I'm ready to meet you baby boy. Time to come play with us!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there! Unfortunately Reid and I couldn't spend the day with our mom's this year, but we hope they had wonderful days and we are thankful for all they have done for us.

Even though I may not technically be a mom yet, I'm only 2 weeks away from meeting my little man. I am beyond excited for the day he calls me mommy! Yesterday Reid and I ventured out on a picnic after church. In typical Jenning's family fashion, our first destination was a bust (too busy with the Mother's Day crowds) so we drove around aimlessly until we found a decent spot. We settled on Evergreen Lake in Evergreen, CO. It was nice to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.

Carson has been growing quickly these last couple weeks but no signs he'll be here anytime soon. I got to enjoy Mother's Day with my first sign of contractions (yippee) so hopefully that's a sign of progress. Reid and I are getting anxious and just want to hold him in our arms.

Nursery Pictures

I think we are as ready as we can be for Mr. Carson to come. It's hard to believe it's already May and Carson will be here very soon. Reid and I are beyond excited to meet him. Enjoy his nursery!!

Carson 36 Weeks

I can't believe we are only 4 weeks away from meeting our little boy! Time has flown but now it seems like it is standing still. So excited to meet Mr. Carson.

How far along: 36 weeks
Best moment this week: We picked out a lullaby song for Carson and have been playing it for him before we go to bed.
Miss Anything: A good nights sleep, but that won't be coming anytime in the near future.
Movement:  My belly is so big his movements are sometimes painful now.
Food cravings: Orange juice with crushed ice.
Have you started to show yet: You tell me :)
Looking forward to: Meeting our little man.

Happy Birthday Snyder! (and a little something about Carson)

Happy 4th Birthday to the best pup around!! We are so very happy we rescued you from that horrible shelter 3 years ago. Our lives would not be complete without you!!

In baby news, I found a going home outfit for Carson today! It's an adorable plaid romper to match his K-State hat. Can't wait to see him in it.

Picture Time!

Last week Reid and I had some maternity pictures taken and I got them today and wanted to share. I think they turned out great! A big thanks to Erin Jachimiak Photography. She will also be doing Carson's pictures when he comes. Here are a few of my favorites!

Carson 32 Weeks + Baby Shower + Easter Weekend

I'm a little late with my 32 week post because we made a trip to Kansas last weekend for a baby shower. We'll get to that in just a bit.

32 week baby bump
How far along: 32 weeks
Best moment this week: Going back to Kansas for the grandparents to see my growing belly and to shower Carson with some love.
Miss Anything: Sleeping on my back, a glass of wine or beer, morning coffee, not waking up to pee in the middle of the night.
Movement: He is quite the squirmer and I even can feel hiccups now.
Food cravings: Fruity things (smoothies, fruit-flavored ice cream, flavored water).
Have you started to show yet: I have quite the belly and my back knows it!
Looking forward to: Our baby classes.

Carson and I had a wonderful baby shower and we are so thankful to all our family and friends who came to support.  Actually we had so many gifts that we coudn't fit everything in the car to bring back!! I'm thankful for my wise mom who had all the guests play games while I opened the presents. If anyone knows me, I hate being the center of attention. My mother-in-law made some delicious food and I do not feel guilty about indulging on 1 (or maybe 10) too many mini carrot cupcakes!

This past weekend also happened to be Easter and it was nice to spend with family. We went to church with my parents, had Easter lunch at Jack Stack and then met some friends for a little bowling fun. It was a great day!
