Overall we both had a wonderful Christmas. We found plenty of time to spend with both of our families and even some time to visit my relatives in Texas! This is our best take of a Christmas photo...

Of the 7 years we have been dating, this is only our 3rd New Years Eve that we have spent together. We stayed in Manhattan, hung out with friends, and headed down to Aggieville to watch the Apple drop. Eve 6 was also there playing before the ringing in of the new year.

I think it is safe to say we are both very much looking forward to the year 2009. These first 6 months are going to me the most exciting none the less with an acceptance (cross our fingers) into law school, a wedding, and a big move. But just some highlights of 2008, Tara graduated from Kansas State with a degree in Mass Communications and found a job after 1 1/2 months of searching with a legal research company. We took a trip to Colorado to check out CU Law School which led to Reid narrowing down his school choices and after a very long process turned in his applications, and last but not least we bought our first car together!!

As for new year resolutions, I told Reid that he should be more willing to let me help out in the kitchen. So we woke up New Year's Day and made breakfast together. I got to cut the peppers and make the eggs all without Reids help...a major accomplishment!!

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year and best wishes for 2009.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Well this wasn't the best of weeks. Everything seemed to go wrong and stress after stress factor just piled on, and the end of the week couldn't come soon enough. But it finally arrived and Reid treated me to a blast from the past.

Oh the memories! I was also surpised to see Josh and Reid's Christmas tree, with presents already under it.

Good job boys, nicely done!

Things we get to look forward to this week: K-State basketball game at the Sprint Center, meeting with the florist, and finishing up registering. Oh and a paid day off! Can't complain about that.

Who Would Have Guessed...Another Wedding Post!

Reid and I had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving weekend. Reid's wedding ring came in and we picked it up. Only 6 more months and he can wear it!

Aside from the ring, we finalized our honeymoon plans. Looks like we are heading to Jamaica for a week in the sun! We opted out of Greece because a car seemed a little more important. We also decided to get our intials engraved in our champagne flutes. They turned out AWESOME!

After the holidays I'm sure things are going to fly by and I coudn't be more excited. Can't wait for all the details to start coming together!

We May Be Moving On...But Our Wildcat Pride Will Stay Forever

It was a sad State Saturday as Reid and I attended our last home game for a little while. Luckily our team decided to play today so we got to enjoy the "entire" game! It was the perfect ending to an unfortunate year of football for K-State. But we still wore our purple proudly and will continue to wherever we go next.

The Peaceful Konza

Sunday, we took advantage of the BEAUTIFUL weather and went hiking on the Konza Prairie. Plus Reid got to test drive the new car and see how it handles the gravel road!!

Welcome to the Family...

Even though our football team sucked today, we still had a good Saturday because Reid parted with an old semi-friend. Today we said goodbye to the Sentra and hello to...

This is our new car, a 2006 Jeep Liberty!!! We went this morning to just see if they had any decent ones at the Jeep dealership in town. We did the paperwork and got to drive it off the lot. From there, Tara decided to get me an early Christmas present...

While we were out running errands, we went to get some more wedding stuff...

It's Time To Grow Up

...UPDATE...

So while we were researching law schools, we worked up quite an appetite! Here was our dinner...grilled chicken, green peppers, mushrooms and zuchinni, homemade mashed potatoes and for desert a peach on the grill with honey, cinnamon and sugar!

.............................................................................

I took the LSAT on Saturday morning this past weekend...but I won't find out how I did for two to three weeks. I took a full practice test on Friday afternoon before Tara got to Manhattan that I didn't do too hot on, but I felt like I did much better on the one on Saturday! It was nice that I got out in time to go to the KSU-Texas Tech football game (which TT stomped us)!

Also, one of the tasks that Tara and I had for this weekend in Manhattan was to make final decisions on which law schools I want to apply for. Here is the final list (in order that I/we want to go to):

University of Colorado (Boulder, CO)
University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT)
University of Oregon (Eugene, OR)
University of Wyoming (Laramie, WY)
Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC)
Gonzaga University (Spokane, WA)
Santa Clara University (Santa Clara, CA)
Campbell University (Buies Creek, NC) - Tara couldn't stop laughing because their mascot is the fighting camels...
